Here is the winner and a little bit about her... Introducing Emily Powell!

I'm an Environmental Thought major at the University of Virginia, and have been kayaking for about 2 years. I've paddled all over Virginia and West Virginia, and spent last spring exploring the wild waters of New Zealand. My favorite river is definitely the Hollyford, in the Fiordlands, and my favorite boats are the RAD175 and Remix.

The first true hybrid SUP/kayak of its kind! YOLO's first full adventure board. Produced using the best marine technology available, the YOLO Yak is made of rotomolded polyethelene, (just like your favorite sit-atop kayak). This is a video that was taken by Jason Bordwine, one of Virginia's Bliss-Stick Agents, from the series of rain that we just had here is the Southeast. All boater on this trip were aware of the hole and within their skill level. Just happen to be his day. This is a reminder of why we must carry a throw rope. Even if it on a run that you know well... Be prepared.

Here is what Jason had to say about the near miss...

Thanks man, We were all aware of the hole and its usually not a major problem. You just never know sometimes! I was a little irritated because there was not a 2nd rope. I hit him right across the face with the first throw but he was unable to grab the rope. The guy in the blue Burn stayed in the boat in case he flushed because there was a strainer right downstream. My other buddy went downstream with a rope as he was out of position. The other 4 paddlers were clueless as to what to do and 3 of them did not even have ropes.
